Expressions of interest are open for Public Members to assist with Regulatory Committees
Public members of boards and committees play a key role in fulfilling the public interest mandate of regulators like the NSCNR. Board public members are appointed by government through the Agencies, Boards and Commissions process. Committee public members are appointed by the NSCNR Board.
There are 7 Statutory Committees that require public members under Nova Scotia’s Regulated Health Professions Act. These include:
- Registration and Licensing Committee
- Registration and Licensing Review Committee
- Practice Review Committee
- Complaints Committee
- Professional Conduct Committee
- Reinstatement Committee
- Fitness-to-Practice Committee
Additional Board committees also seek public members from time to time.
If you are interested in participating, please submit this form to the Nominations and Appointments Committee at office@nscnr.ca. Appointments occur throughout the year as opportunities become available. There is no deadline but vacancies are open now for application.
