DC For Those Previously Licensed in Nova Scotia
Applicants who were previously licensed with the Nova Scotia Chiropractic and Naturopathic Regulator (NSCNR), or with the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors prior to 2026, and do not currently hold a currently active licence may apply for re-entry to practice through re-licensure.
Note: Applicants whose license in Nova Scotia was suspended or revoked as a result of a disciplinary proceeding do not qualify for the re-entry process and will be referred to the NSCNR Reinstatement Committee for consideration.
Re-entry to practice applicants do not need to submit new copies of valid documents which the Regulator already has on file from a previous application. However, the Registrar reserves the right to request updated documents from registrants if previously submitted documents no longer meet current requirements. This may include but is not limited to:
- Proof of Name Change – The NSCNR may request a government-issued document showing your name change.
- Acceptable documents include:
- Marriage Certificate
- Divorce Certificate
- Name Change Certificate
- Acceptable documents include:
- Professional Regulatory History – If you are or have ever been registered or licensed with another professional regulatory body, in any jurisdiction, that jurisdictional regulator must send NSCNR a document supporting your professional history.
- Acceptable Document:
- A letter of standing from every professional regulatory body where you have held a license.
- Acceptable Document:
- Updated Canadian Criminal Records Check completed through CSI.
- If you have lived outside of Canada in the past two years, an International Criminal Record Check is required in addition to Canadian Criminal Records Check.
