Strategic Plan Summary 2025-2028

The Nova Scotia Chiropractic and Naturopathic Regulator(NSCNR) is pleased to share a report outlining the Strategic Plan for 2025-2028 as determined by the former Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors Board of Directors in February 2025.

The NSCNR is proactively engaged in continued excellence in regulatory and governance functions. With the passage of the Regulated Health Professions Act and work toward the new regulatory framework for health care professions in Nova Scotia, the NSCNR has reviewed the mission, vision, and values of the organization in the current context of regulatory responsibilities and expectations.

The Nova Scotia Chiropractic and Naturopathic Regulator serves and protects the public interest to advance ethical and competent chiropractic and naturopathic care in Nova Scotia.

To foster confidence in chiropractic and naturopathic regulation through transparency, inclusiveness, public awareness, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

2. Ensuring High Standards and Continued Competence

To uphold best practices by setting clear standards of care and ensuring ongoing registrant professional development and clinical competency.

3. Sustainable and Effective Regulatory Operations

To ensure long-term sustainability through efficient governance, cost-effective processes, and technology-driven solutions while maintaining public and stakeholder trust.

4. Leadership and Succession Planning

To strengthen organizational resilience by developing future leaders, implementing inclusive succession planning, and collaborating with stakeholders to support regulatory evolution.

The Nova Scotia Chiropractic and Naturopathic Regulator is committed to being a organization that is free of discrimination and values diversity. Our goal is to be an organization that is representative, at all levels, of the citizens we serve. 

The NSCNR has further identified key initiatives in each of these areas. Outcomes and KPIs are based on successful implementation of initiatives supporting these strategic priorities. Ongoing monitoring and modification of these initiatives allow for accountability and flexibility in this evolving regulatory environment.
